We are looking for friendly, motivated and outgoing people who are organized, good at multi-tasking, are drama & drug free. Though this position is in a tattoo & piercing studio, it does not require that you be modified or have previous experience working in a tattoo shop. We will absolutely train the right person! The job will entail basic sales skills as well as booking & scheduling for our tattoo artists. You will also be responsible for some internet work & you will need to develop a working knowledge of body jewelry, size and style as well as be able to communicate the information and standards put forth by the studio. you will be responsible for daily cleaning as well as a myriad of other tasks behind the counter. Our front end staff are the first people our clients encounter, so it is very important that you be clean, polite, fun & energetic as well as knowledgeable... we are looking for people who want to work with us towards the goals of the studio and plan on staying and growing with us over time. internet & computer knowledge is a plus as well as photography & design though not a must. you will need First aid, CPR, & blood borne pathogens training, though we will provide those classes for the right person if you do not already have them. It is important that you understand that this is NOT an apprenticeship! Though you will learn allot about body modification & the industry, it will in no way guarantee you a position as an apprentice at any time. we will be taking applications and resumes over the next week and then setting up interviews from there. Haven Body Arts is in the middle of build out, but should be ready to open its doors mid to late October. I am looking for artists who are passionate about tattooing and who want to find a place where they have creative control over their art and really want to be involved with the space and the evolution of Haven Body Arts as a whole. It has been extremely important for me over the last 14 years of piercing in the Valley to be involved in all aspects of the industry and to offer the best, most progressive experience for my clients as possible. Thanks to Myron, he was able to salvage most of my hard drive, so now i can continue working on this little 'have a cool website' project...i just need to figure out how to work this crazy NEW laptop, which is proving to be a little trickier than i had anticipated!
